My Vision For Ward 8
You deserve a Ward that works – together. Here’s my Plan:

Restore Trust.
Rebuild Community.
Return on Investment.

Restore Trust.
Ward 8 deserves a City Hall that works for us – one that listens, leads with integrity, and puts people and community first. A safer, more united Hamilton begins with trust in our institutions and leaders – and it starts right here in Ward 8. I will:
- Hold regular town halls and forums for community members ward-wide to create opportunities for residents to connect directly on the matters affecting them, voice concerns, and offer solutions.
- Partner with our school boards, police services, and other institutions on local solutions and hold them accountable to the needs of our residents.
Rebuild Community.
When people feel heard, we restore trust – in each other, in our leaders, and in our institutions. That trust is what allows us to work together and build stronger communities.
We can reignite the Hamilton spirit by making sure everyone feels included and valued. Community means we are responsible for and to each other. I will:
- Expand city programming for youth, seniors, entrepreneurs, and newcomers in Ward 8 by investing in existing infrastructure and creating new spaces where people can connect, learn, and thrive!
- Form a Youth Advisory Council so young people have a direct voice in shaping the issues that matter most to them.
Return on Investment.
Every dollar counts. In the midst of an affordability crisis, city spending must deliver real results for residents. Priorities will be guided by community needs, not special interests. By prioritizing residents’ return on investment and a high quality of life, we can build a Ward 8 that works – for everyone. I will:
- Advocate to senior levels of government for funding of affordable housing projects in Ward 8. We all deserve safe, dignified, and affordable places to live in the community.
- Ensure city planning creates communities where your kids can imagine raising their kids, and where you can grow old with security and pride. From roads to parks, transit to libraries, our services must work for all of us – at all stages of life.
